Concepts
-
Tag:
- A Tag is a snippet of code or a small script added to a website to collect and send data to a third-party service (like Google Analytics, Meta Ads, etc.). Tags are mostly used to track user behavior.

⚠️ These tags are completely different from the tags you can assign to members.

-
Google Tag Manager (GTM):
- Google Tag Manager is a tool to manage and deploy marketing tags on your website without modifying the underlying code. It simplifies the process of adding and updating tags, through a user-friendly interface.
- GTM is not the final objective, but serves as a bridge connecting bsport with GA4 and/or Meta Pixel.
-
Google Analytics 4 (GA4):
- Google Analytics 4 is the latest version of Google’s web analytics platform, designed to provide insights into user interactions with its reports.
-
Meta Pixel (ex-Facebook Pixel)
- Meta Pixel is a piece of code that you place on your website to track conversions from Meta ads, optimize ad targeting, and build audiences for future ads. It helps you understand how users interact with your site after clicking on your ads and allows you to retarget them with more relevant ads.
